Fake Actor Headlines is when you get a story about a story about an actor, and the headline is completely wrong.

Here is what people saw online on the Herald Sun, ‘West Wing star faces child sex abuse charges’ and it shows the stars of the show.
So, you go click on the story to see which of the stars particularly in the photo is the one in legal trouble.
Guess what? None of them in the photo are Timothy Busfield.
There were 154 episodes of The West Wing, Timothy Busfield appeared in 28 of them, that’s 18.18% of all the episodes and he wasn’t the focus point of almost all of them, he played Danny Concannon who was part of the press and usually he’d be around to try and get a scoop from the White House Press Secretary or pass along a bit of information and also playing a love interest of C. J. Cregg.
Now if they said he big role in ‘Thirtysomething’, they’d be right because he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 1991.
Child sex abuse is horrific; they didn’t need to sensationalise it by saying the person was a star of a popular show when he was a recurring character, it was a ploy to get clicks/taps.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this happen; we’ve seen reports that a star of an NCIS show was in legal trouble and it turned out that the guy actually was a character in two episodes.
